"Because you worth it"

Some sweet & short reminders from AidaAzlin's Tuesday Letter 😍

#1 - Start celebrating the fact that you are special, and weird, and strange.
And even while writing this, I can sense some of you going, "But I'm not special. I don't have any talent or skill" or "I don't think I'm unique." But let me tell you something - if Allah has planted you in this world, and if Allah still wants you alive and breathing, then there's definitely something that only you can offer to the world that the world needs. Because Allah doesn't make a mistake, and everything that Allah does is purposeful, and not random, nor aimless.

#2 - Take the time to start investing in yourself
building a positive mindset takes time. Its a habit that you have to keep cultivating and growing so I beg you, please take some time to invest in yourself. I mean if you have time to stalk other people on social media, to watch countless dramas and IG stories and vlogs, and have time to read other people's tweets and collect memes and gifs, then you do have time to invest in yourself and to get to know more about yourself.

If we don't start doing that, I fear the day when we would know more about other people, than we would know about ourselves. :/

#3 - Most importantly, keep going back to the One that created you
It was through loving Allah, that I could begin to love myself. Because it was only when I worked on my relationship with Allah, that I only started to gain the confidence that I needed to accept myself for who I am. I learned that Allah always had my back, so with that comforting thought in my head, I began to feel more confident coming out into the world.

Truly, everything starts and ends with our relationship with Allah :)

And ladies. Please, please, please throw away the idea that you don't need to love yourself as long as you have someone else to love you. That you will only be happy and complete if you have someone else around. Na-ah, homegirl. It's not someone else's job to like you. It's your job to like yourself. "
